Event Description

Learn more about pollinators while enjoying a cold one at this month's Science Cafe, sponsored by the ABQ BioPark Conservation Committee.

Presenter Josh Butler, apprentice I beekeeper and zookeeper at the BUGarium, will talk about how the Botanic Garden is delving into beekeeping. He'll also educate attendees about native New Mexico pollinators and how to enhance backyards (non-gardening) to support native pollinators.

Presenter Sarah Jane Gendron, gardener at the Botanic Garden, will share information about home pollinator gardens with a focus on autumn-blooming flowers that provide pollinators with resources that stretch into the cold season.
