If your hive is strong, it's time to harvest honey in the Albuquerque area!

Longtime local beekeeper, Steve Echols, is hosting a langstroth hive honey extraction party specifically designed for new beekeepers (children are also encouraged to attend!).

We'll have one or more honey extractors available and Steve will organize and guide us through the sticky process of harvesting honey from Langstroth frames.

What to bring:

  • Capped honey frames (It's OK if you don't have these and just want to check out the process.)
  • Some bottles or jars with lids (Ditto above if you don't have honey to share.)
  • Work clothes

This is a free event organized through the ABQ Beeks group of local beekeepers. We hope you can join us!

I have an extractor I can bring if needed. Hand crank.
