Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.
New Mexico shows very high losses, but we only had 17 respondents from here, and there are definitely more than 17 beekeepers in the state! So, this data isn't particularly useful I don't think.
Out of all respondents nationwide, BIP saw about a 40% loss.
Just to give some info to add to the list... We have lost at least one hive each year, over the span of about 4 years. Given we started with 3 hives, with one successful split (making 4 hives), we've had total loss. Our last remaining hive suffered Collapse over winter 2017-18.
That's such a shame to hear!
