Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.
I got a call just now about a hive in an old cottonwood at the Quinten T Anderson Park, near Isleta and Rio Bravo. The branch came down during the storm last night and now the bees are flying around. I'm not sure what it would take to collect the comb/hive but if you are interested please call (505) 681-2605. They said they need them removed ASAP.
The bees were just robbing out the comb in the fallen branch. The main hive was still in the tree about 24 feet up. The bees were quite gentle, wish I could have reached them.
