Albuquerque Beekeepers

Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.

Join us next Friday for the kick off to National Pollinator Week!

Registration will begin at 8:30 @ the NMSU Alcalde Sustainable Ag Science Center (north of Espanola).

We’ll start out at the research center here in Alcalde (map attached) and we’ll meet in the shop.

There will be several guest lecturers with 20 minute presentations  about current and past research, and conceptual content  as it applies to bees/pollinators/habitat/etc.

We intend to post the presentations on the www.herbs4bees.com website as well.

After the talks, we’ll decamp to Todd Bates farm in Embudo, NM, @ 10:30, to arrive around 11:00.

We’ll have snacks and bevvies here, too. This will give us an hour for Todd Bates (oregano farmer, Melanie Kirby (beekeeper), and Rob Heyduck (research horticulturist) to share details about the project, and to continue our discussions in a more informal environment.

We plan to adjourn at 12noon, but there will be soft time for networking!

Again, a million thanks for joining us. Feel free to contact NMSU Alcalde @ 505.852.4241 if you need more info or have any questions.

See attached flier and www.herbs4bees.com for details!
