Urban beekeeping in New Mexico's largest city.

I would like to learn about beekeeping

Hello everyone,

I am very interested in beekeeping and would like to offer my time helping with your bee/hives or anything bee related in exchange for some exposure to beekeeping. I know very little about bees and beekeeping but do know it is something I definitely want to be doing and am very willing to learn. I am available. Been reading every book I can get my hands on. Thank you in advance, I really appreciate your time.

Good morning Ron,

Thanks for responding, YES, I am still very interested in bees. This is something I've been reading about and finding out more information as I go. I am now at a place where I'd like to help someone with their bees and get more familiar with the stuff the books can't show. I'd like to spend this next spring and summer helping someone out then I will make the plunge. I've been looking more at Top Bar over Langstroth. Any thoughts.

You should be able to find someone who does either or both around here. Do you have a particular area you are interested in?

Hi Ted,

I know very little about beekeeping, so I'm really wide open to all of it. I am hoping I can find someone who has bees who would be willing to give me a little On the Job Training. I read a great deal but there is nothing like practical experience. Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you.
