Hello Fellow Beekeepers!

My bees did not over winter and I am looking for a swarm.  I used to be on the swarm list but somehow i am not on it anymore. I would really like to get a new swarm soon.  I have been keeping my eye out but have not seen many bees at all!! Please let me know if you see a swarm or have one you are willing to give me.

Thank you,

Dorian 505-321-7571

I would either leave it alone or move it closer to the rest of the combs.

During a hive inspection today I discovered the gals have built a full size comb on the last follower board. Do I take that off and harvest the honey or leave it on?

Need a queen and some brood for a queenless hive. Thanks in advance to anyone who has advice for me.

thank you Jeremy.  I will report back on how it is going.

That would probably be fine. Make sure it is a frame with eggs or less then 2 day old larva. If the queen is gone they can make a new one, if she isn't it will just give them a boost in numbers.

hello. I received a new topbar hive this year, and some carniolan bees in April. I was pretty much leaving them alone after making sure their queen had been released. something seemed amiss this week and I went into the hive, and I think the queen was lost, I don't see any brood.. (not skilled in ID'ing the queen by sight either) I have another top bar with Italian bees, doing well,...  so I was wondering what would happen if I put some brood comb from the Italian bees into the hive with the carniolan bees?  anyone know??

I hope those work out for you. Thanks for picking up the wax last night. Sorry I had dinner going and we didn't have time to talk. Thanks for the rendered wax that I can use for my top bars. :-) ....    Must be nice to have kids home from school who need to work!  :-)

Jeremy -- You've got 'em!...   :-)   PM me and we'll make arrangements for you to get them.
