I picked up two mated queens from Papa Bear Monday, and put them in two splits where we thought the virgin queens hadn't made it.  We checked them today, to let the queens out, and it turns out one virgin queen just hadn't gotten going yet, and there's solid egg pattern, so...we have an extra queen still in her cage.  I'm in the NE University area.  $30, same price that we paid.  See More

My wife and I started beekeeping last year, 2010, late in the year. We were lucky to get a weak group of bees in June, but they didn't survive the summer. We'd like to try again this year, and learn more about beekeeping
