Hi Jessie!
I'm wondering, can TJ's splendid film about TBH package installation be posted on Abq Beeks? Jodi.
NobHill Bees said… Thank you Jessie for that information.
First for us to have a bee hive and want to have them there next year when spring comes.
Look forward to attending a bee keepers meeting.
These bees came from Miguel Sarria- he has moved to Costa Rica and sold his house here.
mhanrahan said… Hello Jessie,
I took your intro class in the South Valley this past May and I am working this summer on my continued beekeeping study for my VCFA master's thesis in design. I wonder if you would be OK me posting to the ABQ Beeks site or on our FB site a short three questions that I have created on Survey Monkey. This is to gather answers for some very basic beekeeping questions. All the information is kept confidential. Thank you for your consideration. ~ Mary Hanrahan

Jessie,
Are the bees a nuisance currently? My bees were really flying today, but it was 60+ degrees today, so I'm assuming these garage bees were out and about as well. Is their hive entry impeding anyone's access into/out of the garage? We've still got some cold days and nights ahead, but those bees are starting to think about spring, and so the queen's starting to lay. If you can delay the takeout for about a month you shouldn't have any survival problems. Ask the homeowners to keep you alerted to any increased activity levels, and plan on a nice warm day in late February for your takeout.
Jake Sandoval said… Hello Jessie me and my daughter (sofia ) are interested in starting a hive. we have "lots" to learn and are looking forward to the meeting. we have a few questions if you dont mind answering? where and how do you keep your bees in the winter? how much space do you need to have a hive? Thanks, JAKE
