Feed, feed, and then feed some more. Even though there are blooms there still might not be much of a nectar flow. The only place that I have right now that is producing any kind of nectar flow in down in T or C.
Good news. Your install photos look to be a textbook install, but I didn't see any of this action ;-)
Regarding what to look for, if the queen hasn't been released when you return to check, just remove the candy and put the cage back. Be sure to do this low inside the hive so the queen doesn't fall out or otherwise escape.
Do you have top bars of comb and/or honey inside the hive to help them get started?
