"Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but there is a Pollinators class offered to the public by Master Gardeners this April 16th from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. They charge $5 at the door and it's located at the Albuquerque Garden Center."

I'm a NewBeek in the Pajarito neighborhood. 2018 is my first year. We used to have hives on our property, tended solely by a friend, that all suffered collapse over the winter. I will be starting from scratch and look forward to getting zen with my girls.

I think the best way to manage a hot hive is to replace the queen. On the other hand, it may not be a lot of fun digging into an aggressive hive to find the queen. Maybe best to catch a swarm. I've always had good luck with them.

Hi Sigrid.  Thanks for your note.  I've not been active in the association and have not had active hives for a few years.  Just got too busy to do right by them.  

I have, however, been thinking of catching a swarm if the opportunity were to arise.  I've noticed not too many pollinators in the area this Spring.  

How are your bees doing?
