About me:
My Grandson and I have started a Hive in 2011. Harvested our first crop last week. I used to have numerous hives back in 1980 in Texas. Looking forward to expanding to 3 Hives this summer. UPDATE: Here it is Fall of 2015 we have expanded to 29 Hives, harvested 652 ibs. Turned out to be lots of work, fun, rewarding and full filling.
I use the following type of bee hives:
Langstroth

Lots of Swarms

Question:

Is everyone having lots of Swarms?  We went though winter with 4 Langstroth Hives and have had them swarm  8 times  Two got away before we could catch them .  Caught the rest (6).  In my experience I have never had that occur. Any comments?
