Over the past week my only hive has turned very aggressive.  For the past several days I have not been able to approach it within 15 feet without being attacked.  Unfortunately that distance places my neighbors in their attack zone as well, and out of consideration for their safety I don't have the time to troubleshoot the root cause.  I attempted to introduce a new queen, thinking it may not be queen-right, but they attacked her right away so I'm thinking that isn't the issue. I am hoping someone is interested in taking the bees and whole hive if necessary, and I won't charge a dime.  Otherwise I will need to  dispatch the bees within the next day or two.  Contact info below.  Thanks in advance!

  • Thanks to everyone who showed interest in relocating my hive.  Unfortunately, because of my urgent need I ended up having to break out the soapy water early last week.  So the hive is no longer available for relocation.

  • I've found that hives grow aggressive for a variety of reasons, but they don't have a queen, and are in a populated area where there is human/animal traffic, they can be quite a nuisance. I've moved mine down to farms in the valley. That helps. Perhaps contact someone from the swarm/bee removal list on this site? Some of them live in areas where they have space and land.

Hello all.  I am scouting for where to locate my new hive in preparation for the arrival of the bees on April 13th.  I have a small orchard with a variety of fruit trees that I think is a good location except for one possible issue.  This area gets…
